Hello, I live at home with my parents and two sisters and my cat. We have always had animals in my house ever since I was a baby and I've looked after a fair variety of animals ranging from chickens, lizards, snails and muscovy ducks! I am very experienced in caring for animals, having run my own dg walking, pet sitting business for at least three years!
I am 26 years old and I have just managed to get a full time job working at a vets working towards becoming a registered vet nurse! This does mean I am out of the house for about 8 hours a day so when considering me for housesitting that it worth taking into consideration, I am off on weekends though!
I have years of experience walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments including reactive and nervous dogs. I chose to walk my dogs one on one unless I discuss with the owner that they may need more dog on dog stimulation in which case I spend a lot of time matching them up to another dog at which point I’d take them for a trial walk together to see how they get on! Most of my dogs are extremely well trained and very excitable and so I have learned how to be commanding whilst still having fun with my four-legged friends. I have however walked extremely anxious and sometimes fearful reactive dogs and am very happy to handle them and confident in my abilities.
I have stayed at houses with the pets of people while they go away to ensure that they know I am always there for their friend I am trianed in medicating and have been doing insuling injections for years so am very comfortble around diabetic animals and have also had experience dealing with epileptic animals via my job.
I am taking a course in pet first aid to ensure I can help in any situation. I have taken a pet behaviour course and I have dogs who I walk everyday and help with their socialisation as well as puppies who I help train from simple things such as sit to paw and heel when off the lead.
Rosie was absolutely brilliant. My cat doesn't always get on with strangers but he loved her and she took such great care with him. I've never used a cat sitter before and was nervous about it but Rosie is super friendly and put me at ease straight away!
Would recommend and I will be going to Rosie again.
Felt very confident having Rosie stay overnight and leaving our two dogs with her. Would highly recommend.
