Hello! I’m Jess (19), a friendly, animal-loving student living in the centre of Gloucester. I’m originally from Nairobi, Kenya, and currently studying online, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to walk, house sit, and give your pets the care and attention they deserve.

Back home in Kenya, I’m an avid equestrian and spend most of my time around animals. I regularly compete in riding events, usually with my pride and joy — my Jack Russell, Asali (which means Honey in Kiswahili). She goes everywhere with me! Alongside her, I also have Theo (a Boerboel), Cora (a Boerboel–Labrador cross), Fudge (another Jack Russell), and Rosie (a Jack Russell cross). Having grown up with such a variety of dogs, I’ve gained plenty of hands-on experience with all different breeds, temperaments, and sizes.

I take a calm, patient, and loving approach with every animal I meet, always focusing on making them feel safe, comfortable, and happy. Since moving to the UK, I’ve really missed having pets around, which is why I joined Pawshake — to reconnect with that joy and share my love for animals with others.
