Hello! I'm Kate, aged 33, I live in Surbiton and I have always been an animal lover, whether wild or domestic. I am comfortable with all sorts of animals (however I draw the line at spiders!) and I grew up with many pets - 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, a hamster, many fish and our beloved dog, Poppy, who I'm pictured cuddling with as a child in my gallery.
I have a lot of experience of being around dogs as many of my friends and family members have been dog owners over the years, so I am very comfortable being around dogs of many different breeds/sizes and this has helped me to gain a good understanding of dog behaviour. I am sadly not currently in a position to have pets of my own, however I was recently living with an adorable beagle named Winnie who belonged to my live-in landlady. I would regularly take Winnie for walks to the nearby parks and looked after him on occasion when my landlady was away. Her brother's playful black Labrador, Ollie, would also come to stay with us when her brother went away. In addition, I am auntie to my brother's super cute French bulldog, Ralph, who has also been left in my care on occasion. I also have experience of looking after cats and, as mentioned above, I am comfortable looking after most animals.
About me, I work part-time in a theatre box office, often only working 3 days per week on a shift basis over a 7 day working week, leaving me lots of time to attend to any of your dog walking, house sitting or home visit needs. Although I am fairly new to looking after pets in a professional capacity I am very eager to start make new furry friends - I can offer your pets lots of love, cuddles and belly rubs, interactive and stimulating playtime, long adventurous walks for dogs (or shorter walks if preferred, dependant on your dog's needs) and I will go out in all weather providing it is safe and suitable for your canine, plus anything else that you or your pet require. I am happy to take on other chores required around your home while you are away such as picking up mail, watering plants and anything else that would be helpful. I am also happy to travel outside of Surbiton.
You can rest assured that with me your pet will be in the hands of someone kind, caring, friendly, concientious, patient, reliable, responsible, trustworthy and who will look after your pet and your home as if they were my own - I will send you regular photo updates so that you are assured of your pet's wellbeing. I have had a basic DBS check (certificate can be provided upon request) and I have also recently completed a pet first aid course, so I will be confident with what to do should any emergencies arise (photo of my certificate is in my gallery). I am also able to administer oral medications.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and for your consideration with trusting me with your beloved pet - I very much look forward to hearing from you!
Kate was trustworthy and great with communication. She sent us cute photos and video clips of our animals while we were away. She also did far more than we expected - things like bringing the post in, bringing the bins up the drive etc. Would definitely recommend Kate - we came home to very happy Dog and Cats!
Kate has been an absolutely fantastic pet-sitter to my cat Bridget while we were on holiday. Although I only booked one-hour daily visits, Kate very conscientiously played with and groomed Bridget every day when she visited, sending us lovely videos so that we could see Bridget was doing very well while we were away. Kate was also very clear about what she can offer, she was highly attentive and approachable when introduced to Bridget, and made sure we discussed everything regarding any potential emergencies she may need to deal with. I'd highly recommend Kate and without any hesitation.
