 Hello! I'm Kate, I live in Surbiton and I have always been an animal lover, whether wild or domestic. 

I am comfortable with all sorts of animals (however I do draw the line at spiders I'm afraid!) and I grew up with
many pets - 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, a hamster, many fish and our beloved dog, Poppy, who I am pictured cuddling with as a child in my gallery.  

I have been pet sitting through Pawshake since 2018 for various different animals; I have so far had
experience of looking after dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and fish. I have had a lot of experience of being around dogs my whole life, as many of my friends and family members have been dog owners over the years, so I am very comfortable being around dogs of many different breeds/sizes/ages and this has helped me to gain a good understanding of dog behaviour/psychology/needs. 

I am sadly not currently in a position to have pets of my own, but I absolutely love making new furry friends
(or not so furry as the case may be) and getting to know all of their different, unique and quirky personalities, which is why I love pet sitting so much! 

What I can offer your pets:  

· Lots of love, cuddles, affection and belly rubs. 

· Interactive and stimulating playtime. 

· Long adventurous walks for dogs (or shorter walks if preferred, dependant on your dog's needs) and I will go out in all-weather providing it is safe and suitable for your canine. 

· Any grooming required. 

· Cleaning out of litter trays/cages. 

· Adhering to any house rules/food rules/training techniques that you have in place.  

· Administering oral medications, eye drops and creams if necessary. I am happy to take on injecting medications also, I am just yet to have looked after a pet requiring this treatment. 

· Anything else that your pet requires. 

What I can offer you/your home: 

· Regular photo and video updates so that you are assured of your pet's wellbeing. 

· Informing you immediately if there are any concerns/emergencies regarding your pet or your home. 

· A secure property at all times; keys well looked after and returned/posted through the letter box as agreed with you at the end of the booking. 

· Housekeeping - collecting mail, watering plants, putting bins out for collection and anything else that would be helpful. 

· Property kept clean and tidy at all times. 

· I will always be the only person in the property, unless otherwise agreed. 

You can rest assured that with me, your pet and home will be in the hands of someone kind, caring, friendly,
conscientious, patient, reliable, responsible, trustworthy, and who will look after your pet and your home as if they were my own. 

A bit more about me: 

· I am happy to travel outside of Surbiton, dependent on the location and length of the booking, as I don't drive. I have regularly done house sitting in East Dulwich, Thornton Heath and Battersea; as long as it is easily accessible by public transport, I am happy to consider any location, so please feel free to enquire no matter where you are located :) 

· I have had an enhanced DBS check (certificate can be provided upon request). 

· I am double vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19. 

· I do have a full-time job which is on a hybrid basis; Mondays and Tuesdays I always work from home, Wednesdays and Thursdays I always work in the office, which is based in London Bridge, and Fridays alternate between in office and wfh. You and your pet/s would therefore need to be happy with me leaving them alone for 2 to 3 days a week whilst I am in the office, for approximately 10 hours (once travel time is taken in to consideration), or else have an alternative agreement in place with a dog walker/drop in sitter so that they are given some company/exercise/a toilet break during this time. I am also not able to commit to a regular/ongoing arrangement of day-care on odd days here and there whilst pet owners are at work etc, as this is too much to take on with my own full-time job. I will therefore only consider bookings that are for overnight house sitting at weekends (for example) or longer periods, whilst pet owners are away on holiday.
