About Diana

Hello all,

My name is Diana, having had a love for animals since childhood, later as a mature student studied Animal Care and Management at Capel Manor College (Level 3 qualification- Enfield branch). I enjoy learning and gaining new insights into animal care and husbandry in which I have qualifications in Veterinary Support, Professional Pet Sitting Practices and experience working within the animal care sector.

I have been pet sitting now for five years and I love every minute of it. I love meeting new clients and getting to know their little ones during the time I look after them, finding out their different personalities and quirks... It is a joy that I can call this my work.

I've always had a love for animals, they give us so much and to care for them in return is the very least we can do for the way they enrich our lives.

While growing up we had three cats; Sam, a chilled out black and white cat, aka the Gentle Giant. Ziggy, a ginger tom who enjoyed the quiet life and Pazzo, a beautiful black cat, he truly was my soul mate. Holly, our beautiful grey Netherland Dwarf rabbit. A kind and peaceful guy who would jump on my back in the garden and chill. (Yes I got the inspiration for the name from Watership Down!) and goldfish; Goldie and Bob, who I trained to swim through a small hoop! I’ve loved having the opportunity to look after all of them and I miss them every day. I've recently had to say goodbye to my beautiful eleven and a half year old bearded dragon Lulu, my sweet girl.

I realize how important it is to have someone who is trustworthy looking after your beloved pets. I care deeply about the welfare of animals and I can assure you that I will look after them as if they were my very own.

I have four years experience working and volunteering in the animal care sector; as an animal carer and receptionist in a vet and pet shop and as the managers assistant at a Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service in Enfield, a charity run centre where injured wildlife are taken in, rehabilitated and released back into the wild. The animals that aren’t able due to their injuries live the rest of their lives happily at the centre. They also take in farm animals who's owners are unable to look after them due to unforeseen circumstances. A life changing and truly humbling experience which I shall continue to be a part of.

Before my animal care career started I trained as a safari field guide in South Africa, an amazing experience which fed my passion about the animal world to animal behaviour, later leading me into the animal care industry.

I also spend my time as a nature photographer, being out in nature is something I’m passionate about

EXOTIC PETS:

I'm also experienced with reptiles, amphibians, sugar gliders, birds, farm animals such as ponies, goats, sheep and pigs, and smaller mammals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters etc so I can feed and change the bedding for them too :)

MEET AND GREET:

Meet and greets are a great way for both parties involved to meet in a relaxed manner, get to know each other and answer any questions they may have. It's also the perfect opportunity for me and your little ones to get acquainted (my favourite part ;)), allow them to adjust to me being around, and if they're a little on the shy side, I'll give them all the space they need to feel comfortable.

I will also bring my credentials along with my DBS papers and a pet profile form for you, so I can have all the important information I need for when you're away; such as feeding routines, knowledge of a special diet or any medication they are on, vets information etc., to ensure peace of mind and enable me to take the best care of your little furry/scaly/feathered babies.

There is absolutely no obligation to book post meet if you would like to see other sitters before making a decision.

HOME VISITS:

My visits are between 30-45 mins, but I do on occasions stay longer if your pet requires more attention. During my visits, I will feed and change the litter tray and if you want me to groom I'm more than happy to do so. I will, of course, play and have a cuddle with them and if you need, I can administer medication. All with daily photos and videos of your little ones to give you peace of mind that they are healthy and happy.

If you need me to water any plants I'm more than happy to do so. On the last day I will take out any refuse thats been collected during my visits and leave your home looking exactly as I found it.

OVERNIGHT STAYS: (Currently unavailable)

If your little one is not yet used to being on their own I will stay overnight with them and make sure they will be getting lots of love and cuddles to help them adjust. If you would like we can arrange to alternate between overnight stays and daily visits to get your little one accustomed to being on their own for longer periods.

As with my home visits I will feed and change the litter tray and if you want me to groom I'm more than happy to do so.

Thank you and look forward to meeting you!

Diana.
