Hi I'm Hannah, I'm a qualified pet sitter and dog walker, also im trained in pet first aid. I love dogs but don't unfortunately have any of my own but I grew up with family having dogs. My job is working with dogs in a daycare, so I would be doing this on my days off and after work. I can work with any size or breed of dog and at any age. I would work with any requirements they have whether it's dietary or medical. I'm happy to handle any situation that comes my way.
Before looking after a dog I would just need to know what their usual day is like, how many walks they have, when they eat and sleep and whether they have medication or not. None of this will deter me, I just want to know the dogs schedule so I know what I'm meant to be doing and when and for how long.
When I'm chosen to pet sit an animal, I meet them beforehand so that they can get used to me and I can get used to them and if I'm sitting them in their own home. I want to make sure that they are okay with someone new being in their home and their own enviroment, so I will initially meet outside the house and gradually go inside, so the animal gets used to the idea.
After a long weekend away, came back to find my two cats in high spirits and well looked after. Thanks!
As I said I'm qualified in animal first aid and pet sitting and dog walking, but I am also doing an apprenticeship in animal care and welfare.
