Hi! My name is Mirran and I am 23. I am a zoology graduate from the University of Exeter and I am pursuing a career in conservation.
I joined pawshake because I love animals and want to help people by looking after their critters during my free time! I have owned dogs for over 15 years, and I have experience with a wide range of breeds. I have also owned rabbits, hamsters, lizards and tropical fish. Through my conservation work I have spent 8 months working with parrots and have years of volunteer experience with horses and donkeys. I also have experience with cats and other small pets through pet sitting for friends, family and through Pawshake! These include guinea pigs, rats, mice, etc. I am confident looking after any of these species, but if you have a pet not listed then just send me a message and I’ll let you know if I can work with that animal.
I am offering my services as a pet sitter, feeder, walker, etc. I am very flexible in the services I offer and will do my best to meet your individual needs :) If you have any questions about me, my experience or what I can do for you just send me a message!
I look forward to meeting you and your critters!
Mirran

Mirran was an excellent pet sitter. She understood that we were nervous about leaving the animals for two weeks for the first time and she sent photos and updates every two days. She stayed with the animals for an hour each day and not only fed and cleaned out cages and litter trays but also played with and petted the cat and took the rabbit and guinea pigs out for cuddles and a run every day. She was very easy to communicate with and a very good price. The animals were very happy and well cared for when we returned.
We’ve got a new mother cat and her kitten. Both my husband and I work so were worried about leaving them all day. Mirran came to meet us and has been already been great with our cats (and kept in touch with me so I feel reassured). Highly recommend!
I have a degree in Zoology from the University of Exeter.
During my degree I took several modules in animal behaviour and learned positive reinforcement training techniques.
