I've always been passionate about animals. I got my bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology from Manchester Metropolitan University, which I completed in 2015.
I completed a pet first aid course in 2019, and am also DBS checked.
I have experience caring for and working all kinds of animals, for which I can provide references, including farm animals and exotics. I'm happy to work with anything from dogs to snakes!
I have previously worked as an animal welfare co-ordinator for a therapy pet organisation. I was responsible for animal care and work with young and vulnerable people, including people with learning difficulties and mental health issues.
I have experience working with difficult pets, such as dogs/cats/rabbits that haven't been socialised and are aggressive or untrained. Most of my own pets are rescues. I also have experience with challenging animals to care for such as exotics.
I am based in Rochdale but willing to travel. I often work within Greater Manchester, East Lancashire, West Yorkshire and Cheshire.
I have four dogs, so I am a very experienced dog walker! Through my experience working with dogs, having my own and also studying animal behaviour at university I can also offer training.
If there is anything you would like to know, ask away. I am happy to send a copy of my CV which goes into more details about my experience and qualifications. :)
From start to finish Nadya was thoughtful, polite and reliable. Nadya stepped in at the last minute when another sitter let us down and helped to put my mind at ease with her insightful questions and understanding of my pets. It's clear Nadya is knowledgeable and comfortable around all animals. She gave equal attention to my bunnies as well as my nervous dog, who she was very patient with. Fabulous, lovely woman who is very capable of looking after your pets very well. Extremely kind person.
This was our second time leaving our cat with Nadya and we couldn't be happier - he's a demanding pet with a strict schedule and she handles him so well. Plus it's a relief to leave him with someone he already knows.
