I have a Full DBS certificate & am certified in the prevention of Covid-19.
I have grown up living with cats and dogs and currently own 3 cats who are my absolute world. I have always had a great interest and passion in looking after animals and I am always the go to person for friends and family when they need help with caring for their animals, wether it be checking in on their cats while they are away, walking their dogs or making vet runs when they dont have access to transport.
I understand that peoples pets are just as important to them as their children, and in some cases ARE their children! I will always ensure that your pet receives the best care from me at all times, and I will show them the same love and attention as I give my own fur babies.
Whilst I don't have any formal skills or qualifications in animal care, I do have 20 years experience of pet care and ownership from rats and hamsters to dogs and cats. I also have done extensive reading into cat behaviour and training in my spare time.
My visits will always be at least 30 minutes giving me enough time to feed pets, give medication if applicable, give pets some playtime and have cuddles!
Walks can be tailored in length to suit the needs of the pet/requirements of the owners but will always be 30 minutes as standard.
Availability is 24/7 every other week as I currently work away on a week on, week off basis running from Friday to Friday. I will keep my calendar as up to date and as far in advance as possible but please drop me a message if you have any trouble finding out about the dates that you are looking for. If there is cross over with dates into a week I am not available, the visits can be fulfilled by my partner Joe, cat Dad to Todd, Walter and Sweep!
I will keep in touch regularly and send updates through messages and pictures of how your pets are doing whilst they are in my care.

From meeting Alex, we could tell she was an animal lover like ourselves, and understood how our pets are part of the family. She was friendly and easy to chat to, and went through our requirements. It was an easy decision to book in with Alex, as we instantly felt reassured. Alex knew we were happy to receive photos/updates and kept us in the loop whilst we were away which we loved. Our cats normally go to a family member for longer periods of time, so this was the first time we have kept them in their own surroundings with visits and receiving updates etc really put our mind at ease and we could see they had taken to Alex easily. We would definitely think about using a sitter again, as our cats seemed happier in their own home - and we would absolutely book Alex in for future trips.
As we were travelling during a pandemic, our trip was uncertain right until we actually left and even whilst away possibly subject to changes - Alex was so understanding and completely flexible around this which honestly took a huge stress out of it all!
