I am a Veterinary Physiotherapy student and have always had a passion for caring for animals.
I have studied animal care, safe handling techniques, nutrition and behaviour. I have experience in caring for animals with specialist health and / or behavioural needs and am patient and confident in handling nervous or over-excited animals.
I currently have a rescue greyhound called Beano and help to ride and look after an ex-racer thoroughbred horse. I have additional experience of caring for a range of animals including cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, rats, mice and hamsters, farm animals and exotics.
I have previously volunteered at Bristol Zoo and in a rescue and rehabilitation centre in Namibia, where I helped care for injured and orphaned animals, including meetkats, cheetahs and baby baboons.
I have been a keen horse rider for nearly 20 years and have worked on riding school and competition yards.
I am happy to discuss any services you and your pet(s) may require. I am based in Broadheath and have easy transport links to most of South Manchester and Cheshire. I own a car which is fitted with a dog hammock and safety belts. It is spacious enough for a travel crate. As I am currently studying from home I can be extremely flexible.
Please feel free to contact me with any queries at all!
Lucy was brilliant, very friendly towards us and Alfie the dog. She responded promptly to messages, made notes when we had our meet & greet which was important as Alfie needed to be given medication and sent photo with messages when she visited.
Highly recommend Lucy and we will definitely book her again
I hold a Bachelors degree in Zoology and a post-graduate diploma in animal health.
