Hello... we're Lucy and Ben! 😊 (and Dougal 🐶)

We're a couple living in the countryside, and growing up with dogs, and now having a dog of our own, we know how important it is to feel your dog is being looked after when you go away. We're in the heart of Saddleworth, a stones throw away from some of the best walking/hiking routes in the Pennines. We offer doggy day care and boarding services.

As I (Lucy) mostly work from home your dog will be supervised throughout the working day and have access to the garden. If I'm not working from home that day, Ben will be coming back to check in on the dogs and make sure they are happy and have access to the garden. Pet caring fits in easily with our daily routine and have good availability to provide your pet with care and attention. If they are boarding with us they will not be left alone for longer than 3 hours. We can board up 2 dogs at the same time if there is a cross over of bookings, but usually only have one dog stay with us at once.

Our usual routine is 2 x walks a day, one in the morning between 6.30-8am and in the evening around 5pm. They are usually around 40-45 minutes however we can tailor these for your dogs needs. At lunchtime we may go on a shorter walk, spend time in the garden or have an enrichment activity. We are regular hikers and are happy to take your dog on a longer walk or hike (1-3 hours) over the weekend if this is something they would benefit from.

We have a fenced, medium sized garden with two secure gates. At bedtime they will be able to choose from sleeping on their bed or the sofa in our kitchen/living area, or if needs be they are able to be enclosed in their own room. We are able to administer oral medication if this is something your dog requires.

Dougal, is our friendly and playful 2 year old Cocker Spaniel, and his favourite thing to do is make new friends. We have taken on 2 dog training courses with Dougal, and are experienced with reward based training techniques. We are happy to continue working on any training needs or goals you currently have.

We love caring for dogs and making sure they have the best life too, and we thought what better way to do that than pet sitting. 

We have experience in pet sitting different breeds and sizes of dog, all with different personalities and needs. Your dog will be a part of our family whilst they stay with us, but of course, you will receive regular updates on what they get up to on their holiday too 🥰 

Please note for their safety we only take vaccinated pets. Please note we cannot look after un neutered female dogs as our male dog is currently not neutered. We unfortunately do not look after puppies younger than 6 months or those who are not toilet trained.
