I have started as a dog walker and cat sitter back in 2018 which initially started as a hobby because I grew up with cats and dogs however as time progressed I started taking it more as a full time occupation. I have had regular clients for over two years that had gained the trust they needed for me to care for their pets. Some examples of my previous clients would be three lovely cats Lola, Toby and Jimmy. Lola is a beautiful ginger cat that required between one or two home visits every day as the owners would work full time and travel a lot. When visiting Lola I would initially begin by feeding her and ensuring she has fresh water in her water fountain. Then I would take care of the litter boxes around the house by changing it and brushing the sand around the litter box. Her owners were initially worried about leaving her with a stranger as she used to be quite anti social and didn't really enjoy new company however our first meet went great. Lola is a very playful and loving get once she gets acquainted with you. We would continue my stay with playtime and loads of cuddles. The hardest part of my stay was always leaving as she would look so sad, especially if her owners were on holiday. Toby was my most playful and energetic cat I cared for. My visit would include the basic feeding, litter box maintenance and playtime. Toby was my only client that would also require a daily leash walk as he loved exploring the outside world. We first started his walks when he was only 1 month old, he was so curious and aware of his surroundings; it was absolutely adorable. As time progressed our walks would get longer and longer. Initially we started with ten minute walks around the block but after a few months we would walk for an hour two times a day in parks and lakes. Jimmy is a very chilled cat and when my visits started he wasn't really interested in the playtime I would organise for him. However as I would come more often he became more friendly and he would enjoy cuddle time. Jimmy was my customer only during Christmas, Easter and some weekends when the family would be away. Some of the gorgeous dogs that I cared for were Maxy, and Max. (Different clients by similar names :) ) Max is a a beautiful cane corso that required lots of patience and love as he was a rescue. He grew up in a violent environment with owners that didn't care much for him due to his breed until he was rescued by his current owners. When he was rescued he was 2 years old so it took some time before he became comfortable with his new home. My visit with max included his feeding time and 45 minute daily walks and playtime in the park. His owners wanted his was to be filled with running and fun activities. Our playtime including playing catch, tug of war and lots of running. Max loved our walks to the lakes and hikes and when he came home he would sleep like a baby. Maxy is Bichon Maltese that was my client 5 days a week for 3 years. My visits with max would include feeding, 1 hour walks and sometimes his owner would want me to give him a bath. My walks would Maxy were similar to what I did with Max. Maxy also enjoyed our weekly picnics in the park. I would get a blanket and bake or buy dog friendly treats (with owners permission) and we would go in the park and enjoy the weather (this was mostly in the summer). Our walks would also include some basic training such as sit, spin etc. My experience with pets have allowed me to understand that each pet has a different personality and requirements and it is important that each pet has a personalised visit with various activities.
