I do not offer pet sitting services at my home. I studied animal biology at Edinburgh Napier University and have a keen love and interest in caring for animals. My dissertation related to chicken taste preference.
I have watched dogs, cats, tropical fish and chicken for other people in the past.
I have completed an online first aid for pets course to best prepare me for emergency situations and help understand situations that may arrise better.
At home I have 2 cats, 2 degu, 2 budgies, 2 axolotl and a crested gecko. I have experience with tropical fish, gerbils, hamsters and frogs.
My boy cat, Toulouse is asthmatic and needs an inhaler every day that we administer and my girl cat, Sweetie Belle has dietry requirements we strictly follow, she gets sick when eating food containing grains.
I volunteered at newparks farm for 3 years, where I worked with various farm animals including sheep, horses, donkey, pony, llama, cows, ducks, chicken, turkey, rabbits, goats, pigs and various parakeets. I administered medications, grooming, vaccinations, sheered sheep, tracked equine weights and regular feeding and cleaning out.
I am able to administer oral and subdermal/intramuscular medications. I have the most experience in larger anumals for injection based medications and vaccines.
I get so much joy meeting animals and learning the different personalities the animals have. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile
Delighted with Morvyn's settings, will definately use again.
Morvyn is amazing! She has been excellent with our Romanian rescue dog. It takes him a while to adapt to new people and Morvyn had lots of ideas for supporting him to take walks with somebody new. Her background in animal biology really shines through and she is very knowledgeable and experienced in her work with dogs. Our dog can be reactive at times with other dogs when walking and we are working with a behaviourist to manage these behaviours. Morvyn has followed the behaviour plan set out to the latter. Morvyn is very calm and gentle in her management of our dog. She has also agreed to take on additional walks with very short notice at times and is very flexible.
Morvyn is really interesting to speak with and has a wealth of knowledge and experience working with all kinds of animals and around wildlife and nature in general.
We would unreservedly recommend Morvyn to care for any pet. She will love and care for them as if they were her own.
animal biology degree, knowledge on pet first aid. Farm animal care. Reptile and amphibian keeper.
