My name is Stephanie. I'm 36 years old. I joined Pawshake 2 years ago. I wanted to be a pet sitter since I love spending time with my own dog (and tortoise 🐢😉) and my family/friends pets of all kinds. So I knew this work would be very enjoyable for me. I love all animals and I am a very kind and caring person so ideal for this type of work.

I initially took this on as a second job and didn't expect to get many customers if any! But I've had a lot of customers and cared for a lot of pets, far more than I expected! And I've loved it as I thought I would. I am now considering potentially doing this as my full time job if I make up enough bookings for longer term, consistent customers rather than just randomly when free as I am now. So I'm now happy to be contacted about potential longer term bookings aswel as short term ones. I would be happy to do a short trial with a discount for any potential customers who may want a long term booking so that you can see if I'm a good fit for you and your pets and to give you time to decide if this is something you want to continue with long term. Of course I'm also happy to continue to do what I have been over the last year additionally for anyone who only wants short term, random bookings for holidays, working away etc.

In terms of exact services, I'm open to pet sitting/stay overs in the owner's home, walks, one or two visits a day and day care (although this is listed in services generally only as an option for taking place at the sitter's home, I have found that many owners prefer to have it at their home and now that is the preference for me also so I'm happy to continue this service and have a booking for this but at the owner and pets home instead of mine).

My only restriction is I can only walk small and medium dogs (up to 11kg) just because I am so petite! I am happy to sit and visit bigger dogs though as long as they have a big garden for them to exercise in and I can let them out and play with them no problem.

I have spent the same amount of time visiting cats over the years as well as dogs so I am happy to help with any cats and possibly other types of pets if it's a good match. I've also looked after several reptiles including turtles, tortoises, lizards. When an owner makes a booking for a cat and dog and has additional animals like fish that literally only need a food top up that takes a few seconds then I am happy to do this for free.

In terms of experience, I have now been walking, providing day care, sitting and visiting pets on Pawshake for 2 years now as stated. I am certified in dog walking and I have of course been a sitter and walker in my personal life to help out friends and family before.
