Dear dog owner, my name is Patricia, I am originally from Luxembourg but I now live and study Veterinary Medicine near London.
As you can imagine I have loved animals all my life. Even though my family never had any pets, I grew up in a rural setting and so have been surrounded by lots of animals most of my life. I am also an avid horse lover and owned my lovely mare for 5 years, so I'm very experienced in taking care of my own pet and understand the responsibilities that come with this job. I know how much you love your pets and I will take care of every animal as if it was my own.
During my gap year in 2016 I spent 4 months on a husky farm in Finland, taking care of 170 dogs every day, while working as a dog sledding guide. During this time I really learned what it means to take care of dogs. As a future vet student at that time, I was also heavily involved in the medical side of things and as such did gain a lot of experience in giving all kinds of medication, bandaging and taking primary care of small and not so small wounds, as well as giving massages.
As part of my studies I have worked in multiple shelters, on farms, vet practices etc. gaining valuable knowledge about animal husbandry and care.
I am currently in my third year of study, so I have a busy schedule but I always have some free hours during the day and am free most weekends. I can either take your dog for a walk, take care of him in your home or stay over at your home for several days while you're away and take full care of your dog then. I'm based in Potters Bar but I have a car so I'm mobile and happy to travel.

We recently booked Patricia to look after our two cats for three days. Patricia was quick to respond to arrange the meet and whilst we were away, Patricia sent us pictures and updates about how the cats were which we really enjoyed. As first time Pawshake users we were little nervous but the updates etc gave us the peace of mind we needed. We returned to two very happy cats. Patricia did an amazing job watching our three year old dog for the weekend at our place. We were never worried about the dog and it appears he had a great time and was tired when we returned. She left the flat in great condition. We were certainly use Patricia again!
