About Chloe
Thanks for visiting my profile. I've recently moved to Norwich and am excited to start meeting some cats here!
About me
I used Pawshake a lot a few years ago to support me alongside studying. I then had to step away for a while when I finished studying and moved into my own place, because I sadly didn't have as much time for catsitting. I've now moved in with my partner so have more time and am very excited to get back into it.
I love catsitting because I have always grown up around cats and genuinely find spending time with them to be really calming. My work in the mental health field can be pretty emotionally exhausting, and I find caring for cats helps me to unwind from this. I also have lots of experience - with my own cats, those of family members and through sitting/volunteering experience. I was lucky enough to adopt my own tuxie girl, Cassie, a couple of years ago from the RSPCA. I've been on Pawshake on and off for a few years and am often called upon to look after my family and friend's cats when they go away. I have also had and cared for my own elderly cat (who lived until she was 21) and my own adorable disabled cat who couldnât use his back legs. He had an extremely rare disorder so needed daily medication, help toileting and eating. I unfortunately have a fear of dogs due to an experience when I was little, so it is cats only for me.
What I offer
I provide home visits either once or twice per day whilst you are away, ranging from 20 minutes to an hour depending on your cat's needs. This includes feeding, emptying/changing litter trays, playtime, and cuddles (if that's what your cat is into!). I can also administer oral medication. I'm happy to do other bits around the house too if needed, such as watering plants and taking out the bin. I understand how stressful it can be to be away from your pet so will send you updates and pictures to make sure you know they are being well cared for.
All of my cats have been rescue cats and I have also previously volunteered at the Blue Cross. I therefore understand that some cats can be really wary of new or different people and am comfortable with nervous cats who have had all sorts of histories. If for whatever reason your cat does need extra help, I'm happy to support with that and have the necessary skills.
I am based in Hethersett but have a car and am happy to travel, including into Norwich city centre.
If you want devoted and sensitive cat care for your special kitty whilst you are away, I hope you won't hesitate to get in touch.
