About David
I am an events professional that works for a national charity, I work from home 3 days a week. When I am not working I like to go for a run, reading, socialising with friends or connecting with nature, I love the outdoors.
I am a dog's person, I had dogs from different breeds since I was a little child, I just enjoy their company so much. I am in my mid-forties and I currenlty live with a loving 9 year old Jack Russell. I live in a ground floor flat very close to Finsbury Park station and I have a large fenced garden.
After considering whether to get a second furry friend and companion for my little dog, I decided that helping other dog owners taking care of their furry companions whilst they are away could do the trick and it would be just as fun, also a nice way to give Linda some company which she is enjoying so much.
I have been dog sitting professionally for 5 years, privately and through another well-known dog sitting app but I had dogs ever since I can remember. I have experienece with puppies, adults and elderly dogs, also, I can administer medication and help with special dietary needs. I usually take neturered/spied dogs with some exceptions. Dogs are allowed in furniture and will be taken for walks every 3-4 hours. I like taking long walks but I can also do shorter more frequent walks with elderly dogs or dogs with walking difficulties.
Every dog is different, I enjoy learning their ways when they are with me, for me it is very important to keep their routine as close as possible as they have at home. I love watching TV while having the dogs sitting next to me and I love petting them, as long as they feel comfortable being pet; I like to give them their space and let them come to me for a stroke or a cuddle when they feel they want it. Also, the garden is alwasy accessible so they can dip in an out whenver they want.
I enjoy taking long walks in Finsbury Park, Clissold Park and Parkland walk and spending time outdoors during the warm days of spring and summer. My average walk is around 45 minutes and I try to do two long walks and another two shorter walks during the day.
I currently offer boarding services and dog walks upon request, I know how stressful it can be to find someone to look after your pet when thinking of going away. Do not worry, I will be happy to meet you and your pet at a convenient location so you can see whether I am a good match for your little one.
A day at home with me would be an early-ish start in the morning and go for a 45 minutes walk, come back and have breakfast, then a little rest while I work from home. Then, a short pee break in the afternoon and another 45 minutes-ish walk in the early evening. Shortly before bedtime a short pee break and then go to sleep.
I hope to hear from you soon!
