Hello fellow humans,

My name is Joana and I am originally from Portugal. I grew with cats and lived with pets all my live until I moved to the UK. My first pet was a rabbit named Thumper (any Bambi fans?). Aside from all the chewed electric cables Thumper was a joy to live with and my partner in crime as a toddler. Then it came Fofinha (Fluffy in portuguese) a white cat with yellow eyes. She was incredibly clever and patient with me as a child. When she passed we adopted Tobias, a siamese cat with blue eyes, and a couple years later Bonsai, a Norwegian Forest Cat with green eyes. They were good mates and a lot of fun to live with. Bonsai missed Tobias terribly when he passed away in 2018.

Unfortunately in 2020 Bonsai became a diabetic so I had to look after him during lockdown until he went into remission (yes, cats can do that!).

I still spend time with Bonsai when I go back home, but I miss hanging out with pets, specilly cats and I can't have any at my house. When I looked after Tipi, a friend's half-bengal cat for a week, it prompted me to consider doing cat sitting more often. Tipi was incredibly curious, playful and sweet. It was nice to meet and live with another cat, specilly at a young age which I had not done in years.
