Hi! My name is Amberley, a 22 year old postgraduate student studying Physics at UCL. I'm originally from Tokyo, Japan, am new to London after spending 4 years living in the States! 

I've always loved being around dogs, and one of the hardest things about living away from home has been being away from own dog, Luna, a 7 year old Border Collie. I think taking care of her has made me a versatile petsitter, and I'm capable of keeping high energy dogs happy, healthy, and entertained with plenty of walks, playtime, and mental stimulation. 

I am also patient and gentle with older or more anxious pets who need a slower pace and a bit of extra care. In the summer of 2024, I spent three weeks on a homestay in Spain, helping care for seven cats and two elderly dogs. My duties included administering medication, preparing special meals, helping the dogs move around safely on short walks and adapting the exercise to their energy levels, and keeping the cats’ feeding and litter routines consistent. (While I’m comfortable caring for cats, I’m slightly allergic, so I usually keep visits shorter to manage that.)

Beyond this, I spent my high school years volunteering at local dog shelters, helping care for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’ve also pet-sat for friends with corporate jobs and for professors when they were away, handling everything from feeding schedules to walks, runs and companionship.

Being around animals is really always a personally rewarding experience for me, and I try my best to treat every pet as if they were my own, giving them the attention, affection, and patience they deserve. Whether your dog needs an energetic playmate or a calm, reliable companion, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away!
