We live on a farm with land in the Blackdown Hills of East Devon. We are a family of 4 (two kids 8 & 6), parents and two friendly, but energetic dogs. We also have chickens, ducks and sheep but they are all fenced in. The land has a couple of nice lakes for summertime dips to keep cool.

We live in a good sized house where dogs live downstairs. There is a big kitchen / diner, living room, hallway and utility. Lots of room for them to move around indoors.

Our dogs are very used to visitor people and dogs and are well trained. We have owned and cared for dogs for more than 10 years. 

It is a lovely environment for dogs who spend a lot of time outdoors whatever the weather. We enjoy having the different personalities come into and out of the house but do expect reasonable behaviour and to be trustworthy with children.

The outside of the house is not a garden per se; it is not fenced off so the environment is not suitable for dogs who cannot be trusted off the lead.

We offer dog boarding services primarily. The setting is perfect for a doggy holiday - a good sized house, massive space outside, lakes and woods to play in, kids to play with the dogs and experienced adults to keep things in check. We work from home so there are people around all day. If someone wants us to look after a dog during the day that's also not a problem.

We mostly walk the dogs around the land in private but sometimes take them out to the local parks.

We are comfortable with most types of dogs - small, big and in between. Nervous dogs are fine but antisocial dogs are trickier because we have our own two. Kids love the smaller dogs. Having the luxury of land makes looking after different personalities easier.

Access to our house is easy, there's plenty of parking.
