About Natalie
Hi, I’m Natalie (Natty), a 27-year-old dog lover who has just moved from rural Kent to Brighton for a fresh start and for even more beach and countryside walks! I’ve grown up surrounded by spaniels and retrievers and have always been the go-to person friends and family trust to walk, care for and calm their dogs, whether they’re high-energy pups or anxious rescues.
I recently lost my gorgeous cocker spaniel, Millie — a rescue who came to me at age 3 with severe anxiety and reactive behaviour. Supporting her, building her confidence and watching her flourish made me realise that life without dogs doesn’t feel complete. It’s a huge part of why I’ve started dog walking and sitting here in Brighton.
I previously worked as a Kennel Manager at a guard dog establishment, giving me hands-on experience with large, high-drive working dogs with a wide range of behaviours and temperaments. I understand canine body language, basic training, and how to keep dogs feeling safe, enriched and understood.
I’m now a self-employed dog walker, working Monday–Thursday, usually finishing around 3–4pm. I have my own van fitted with secure dog crates, so every dog travels safely and comfortably. I’ve also recently completed a Dog First Aid course (30/11/25) to ensure I’m fully prepared for any emergencies and able to give dogs the best, safest care possible.
For visits and sittings further afield, I simply ask for 25p per mile to cover travel to and from your location from my flat in Hove.
What I offer:
- Solo or paired walks tailored to your dog’s energy and personality (fitting around my day-to-day job)
- Real adventure walks – beaches, woods, fields and nature trails (not just pavements!)
- Experienced with rescues, nervous or reactive dogs
- Calm, patient handling and positive reinforcement
- Happy to support with light training (only know basics!), enrichment and mental stimulation
- Home-sitting with full respect for your space and your dog’s routine
- Can assist with grooming, ear cleaning & coat maintenance (I’m beginning training in dog grooming!)
- Clean, respectful and organised – I treat your home like I would my own
I’m outdoorsy no matter the weather! Ill always choose a woodland path or beach walk over a quick loop around the block. I believe dogs thrive the most when they’re allowed to sniff, explore and enjoy nature. I will always treat your dog as they were mine, whether your dog is high-energy, shy, a senior or a rescue with quirks, I’ll meet them exactly where they are. Every dog I look after is treated with the same love and patience I gave Millie- I know how precious they are to us!
If this aligns with the kind of care you want for your furry friend, I’d love to meet you both for a friendly hello and a sniff around!
