About Charlotte
While I didn’t grow up with pets at home, I’ve been lucky to spend most of my life surrounded by animals—and caring for them has always come naturally. I started riding horses at age 7 and had shared ownership of horses from my mid-teens, which taught me the importance of responsibility, consistency, and attention to detail. From daily grooming and mucking out to feeding and monitoring health, I understand what it means to care for animals with structure and commitment.
I’ve also spent years around cats and dogs. I looked after my brother’s two house cats while he was away for a fortnight, and I’ve regularly cared for friends' dogs for both short and extended visits. One of those dogs is a Tamaskan I’ve helped raise since she was a puppy—she’s now 8 years old—so I have long-term experience with large, active, and unique breeds.
More recently, I’ve welcomed a puppy of my own into our new home. She’s a large dog, so I’m confident with crate training, enforcing boundaries, and maintaining consistency while still offering plenty of affection and engagement. I'm also comfortable administering oral medication when needed.
I’ve lived in Nottingham for several years and now own a home in a rural area with access to large parks and fields just a short walk away, and beautiful countryside trails only a short drive away. I drive and also have access to public transport. We currently don’t allow pets on furniture, and I aim to keep a clean and calm environment at home. While I love spending time with animals, I prefer not to care for pets with severe separation anxiety, as I need flexibility to step out occasionally.
Overall, I approach pet care with patience, structure, and love—and I’d be delighted to meet your furry companion!
