About Megan

I have had cats in my family since I was a baby, the first dog to join my family was in 2015; currently I have still have that dog, the most cuddly staffy and a more independent 7yo torbie ragdoll.
While also being a cat owner since birth, which gives me lots of experience with various cats in itself, for 2 months in 2025, I volunteered at a Greek Cat Sanctuary. While there I did an assortment of tasks alongside managing the cat’s welfare, within this I was entrusted by the managers to give some of the cats their medications, and assisted with vet trips. Furthermore, I am proud to admit that I was able to learn the names and personalities of over 100 cats before travelling to the location; this greatly benefited me in this role as I was able to bond with even some of the shyest cats at the shelter. During my time there I helped rescue 7 cats by hand, all of which have been homed around the world!
I also helped look after the 9 dogs at the sanctuary, with various breeds from, a pitbull with brain damage, a 15yo labrador and a excersise-resistant chihuaua. Looking after them meant feeding twice a day; brushing the long haired dogs; replacing their water up to twice daily; playing and basic training. As rescue dogs, they all came with their unique challenges and I ended up with some bruises (falling over), but never blamed the animal!
I'm very patient and empathetic and try to learn as much as I can about specific breeds and the pet itself before interacting for greater success. I'm also very non-discriminate with my love and care for animals, I will happily look after kittens, puppies, seniors, cats, dogs, rodents, or otherwise -- although I may need to research more with any other species, but always willing to try! If your pet is on the more anxious side, I am more than happy to put in the time and effort to build a relationship with them to gain trust and do my best to give them familiarity and routine.
Now I've started working, I want to make use of the free time I have by helping others and their pets, while also helping myself keep fit and emotionally well. I'm pretty flexible and consistent with my arrangements, and will keep you updated as much as possible! I am also currently studying an online course learning about feline care, welfare and behaviour.
