Hello there!
I am a qualified veterinary surgeon in Taiwan and had 3 yrs practice experience in both private clinics and university vet teaching hospital. I moved to Singapore with my family and my dogs 3 years ago, that's where I started to become a pet sitter. In order to be closer to our be loved family members, we recently moved to the UK and located in the west midland.
I also worked in pet nutrition and animal pharmaceutical industries for 8 years, after I moved on from being a veterinary surgeon. I provided technical supports and consultations to cooperate clients, companion animal veterinarians and pet owners, and geared up the staff internally as well. Now I am an editor for veterinary text books and other general science/medication publications.
Safety, Comfort and Company are the top priorities for your pets.
I have been a life long pet owner, I am lucky enough to have owned Miniature Pinscher, German Shepherd, Toy Poodle, Mixed Breeds, Chihuahuas, and DSH cats over my life (and mostly adopted), and I looked after small birds, turtles, mice and rabbits when I was a child. I took great care of a variety of differernt breeds and sizes of dogs and cats as a sitter when their owners were away from home, ranging from 1.5kg to 32kg, illed and healthy, quiet and playful, friendly or defensively aggresive. So you can expect your pets to be in good hands. (check out my reviews!)
I can provide your pets home-standard professional vet care on demand. The environment will be kept safe and hygienic, no food or treat will be provided without your permission. In case your pets need daily oral medicine intake or any subcutaneous/intramuscular injections (e.g. insulin for diabetic pets), giving eye drops, nose drops, ear drops, external ear tunnel cleaning, wound dressing, or topical medication application required, I will be able to administer, provided your pet(s) is/are not aggressive. All medications should be prescribed from your vet.
Bladder expressing, massage (as part of physical therapy), ROM joint exercise, and medicated bath/shower for needed pets can also be provided on demand as well.
*extra fee will apply for any additional services in addition to feeding/watering/basic coat brushing/walking or potty breaks.
Daily photo/video updates will always be provided, and remember, I can always strictly adhere to your instructions during home visit or walking.
Claire's meticulousness shows immediately when she makes sure to clarify all the needs and details of my two cats, especially since one of them has a medication condition that requires extra attention. She also gave me a heads up on potential situations that could happen during boarding, and ways to handle them if they did happen.
Claire is really prompt and thorough with photo/video updates, where she would document their meals and activities in real time. I was able to have a peace of mind with Muon's pee & poop updates - as that had always been a telling point of his condition.
The two cats took a liking to Claire almost immediately despite being hesitant usually even with family members. Honestly can't thank Claire and her husband enough for being so kind and accommodating to the both of my cats and my schedule. 🙏✨
Will definitely board my cats with Claire again in the future!
Claire is ever thoughtful, helpful, professional and meticulous in her care for Buddy. We forgot to pass her Buddy’s harness and Claire kindly lent him her harness which happens to fit him. When Buddy unexpectedly had a tummy upset during the stay, Claire gave us lots of update about him and generously shared her dog food with him for his tummy to be better. The communication was really great and helpful for us. We really appreciate the extra mile and trouble that Claire and Dan went for Buddy, which really gave us a peace of mind that Buddy was in very good hands. Thank you very much Claire and Dan for ur patience and taking good care of Buddy!
