I'm Jon (34), an economist living in Kingston with my wife Celine (a solicitor, 33). We have a two bed house with a nice garden and bifold doors that are open from spring to autumn. We also live next to Fairfield park which is perfect for walks. I work from home 5 days a week and my wife 2 day so there is always someone here.
We recently fostered my friend's elderly cat Zibbi and miss having her in the house. She was very high maintenance as she needed a lot of meds and attention so we are confident that if we can look after her we can look after anybody.
I grew up with dogs and my wife cats and we just love hanging out with them. We don't yet have kids and our carpets and furniture are all a bit old and tired so we have the perfect house for pets to feel at home in. I think we have a window in our lives where things have come together so that we can pet sit and it probably won't be this way forever. Any pets that spend time with us will be showered with so much love and attention.
We’re both very active and always get our 10,000 steps in so any dogs staying with us can look forward to some big walks. We’re also not far from Richmond Park. We’re very open minded about the pets that come and stay with us. Obviously it will have to work for both parties and we'll be open about anything we are not confident with. We will need to take it slow to begin with and probably only work up to boarding with pets that we have got to know a bit. We'll also only be able to look after one pet at a time to begin with.
