Miranda

I am Miranda, a 49 year old dutch woman with a love for anything with 4 paws (or two wings!), especially dogs and cats. I worked as a veterinary nurse for five years, three years at a cattery and two years as a full time pet-sitter. From working in all these different areas in animal well-being, I've gained knowledge in both medical and practical animal care but also in animal psychology, which is where my greatest interest lies.

I have always been passionate about animals and their well-being. I have enjoyed working at the veterinarian clinics in the Netherlands but I feel that now I have more life experience, it will be a joy for me to use my knowledge of animals and my natural way of being with them in a more personal setting! Although I am very comfortable handling any kind of pet, I have been told that I have a particularly good feel for cats.

I am very aware of the different parts of myself I have to tap into when I am looking after a dog, a cat or another animal. Where cats usually just need a very calm and gentle touch, I find that it is of vital importance that you give a dog good leadership and clear rules, before you give them cuddles. But obviously, they all have their own personality too and I will always adjust my approach to fit the animal I am caring for.

My services include walks in the park, playtime, grooming, giving medication if needed and of course lots of love :) Unfortunately I can't look after large dogs unless they are very old and/or easy to handle.
