Hello! My name is Julie and I am a mature, responsible pet-sitter and dog-walker with over 7 years experience of caring for a variety of pets in their home environment when their owners are away. I have many outstanding references from previous owners and I have been lucky enough to meet some amazing people and care for wonderful animals since 2019.  

My first motivation is a genuine love of animals - particularly dogs! I am addicted to pet-sitting as I can't be without the company of animals for too long before I start to miss their company! 

I am fit and active and I am available to either look after your pets in their own home or drop in visits locally. I am very occasionally available to care for very small, well-behaved dogs in my own home. I am based in Livingston which is approximately half an hour away from Edinburgh but for the right booking, I am prepared to travel anywhere in the UK. I have my own car and very happy to transport dogs if required to access their favourite walks. I am happy to consider any size of dog when caring for them in their own home. However, I am reluctant to care for very large dogs that are 'pullers' or reactive as, although fit and active, I know my own strength and limitations when dealing with large powerful dogs.

If I were to care for your pets, you can rest assured that their welfare is my number one priority and I fit myself around the routine and happiness of the pets I care for. I consider myself a 'fairy dogmother' and focus completely on keeping pets secure and stress-free when their owners are away, as well as giving lots of love and cuddles.

To date, I have cared for dozens of dogs, several cats, goats, chickens, ponies (although I do not ride anymore) and even sheep!  

During your absence I will keep you informed of your pet's welfare and send pictures and updates as often as required. Your home will be kept spotlessly clean and tidy, allowing you to enjoy your holiday relaxed in the knowledge that your pets and home are in very safe and caring hands.
