About Ayesha
What sets me apart is a lifetime of experience with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. I’ve had a dog by my side since childhood, from playful puppies (even before vaccinations) to seniors needing extra care. I’ve cared for my own, as well as my family’s and neighbors’ dogs—taking them swimming, managing special needs, and giving them the patience and attention they deserve. Big or small, shy or outgoing, dogs tend to warm up to me quickly. For me, it’s more than just sitting—it’s treating every pup like they’re part of my family.
In my home, pets are treated like family—I make sure they get plenty of love, playtime, and exercise, and I can crate dogs if that’s part of their routine or helps them feel secure. I’m attentive to each dog’s needs, whether that’s daily walks, swimming adventures, or quiet cuddle time. In a pet owner’s home, I follow your routines closely to keep things familiar and stress-free for your pet, from feeding and medication schedules to favourite toys and bedtime habits. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, happy, and cared for, no matter the setting (I also have extra experience with vaccinated and unvaccinated puppies under 12 months!!)
When I’m caring for your pet, I make sure their days are filled with comfort, fun, and stimulation. I’ll cater to their individual needs—whether that’s cosy downtime, active play, or extra attention. We’ll enjoy engaging games that keep them mentally and physically stimulated, and I’ll provide meals tailored to their specific dietary needs. Walks will be frequent and varied, with new routes to keep things exciting (and opportunities for socialisation if your pet enjoys it). If it fits your pet’s temperament, I’m happy to bring them along on safe errands for extra enrichment and companionship. As a special treat, I can even whip up homemade goodies so they feel spoiled and loved while you’re away.
Back home, we have a very large (40kg!) golden retriever with an even bigger personality. Full of energy and love, he’s the kind of dog who greets everyone like a best friend—kids, dogs, and anyone in between. Simba is also a notorious sock and shoe thief and has absolutely no concept of personal space, which only adds to his charm. As a COVID baby, Simba can be a little anxious, but he thrives with plenty of stimulation toys, long joint-safe walks (up to an hour), and lots of affection. He has elbow and hip dysplasia, so his care includes vet visits, hydrotherapy, swimming, and two special bone-health meals a day—plus his beloved snack times and homemade treats. Despite being a “very large apartment dog,” Simba lives life to the fullest with patience, love, and thoughtful care. He’s living proof that with the right balance of activity and comfort, even the biggest, goofiest golden can be the happiest pup around.
Please let me know if your dog has any special requirements or behaviours—this helps me give them the best possible care, tailored just for them!
