I'm Laura and I'm currently studying for a PhD at Imperial college London in Fluid Mechanics. I am from the countryside originally and we've always had pets in the family, with lots of space to play with them. Being a student I can't look after a pet full time, but I really miss having animals around, so I would love to be able to help to look after some pets while I am in London.
I am happy to pet-sit at the owners home, and am also happy to just check-in on pets at the owners home, or take them for a walk to give them something to do while the owners are out. Being a PhD student means that my working hours are very flexible, so I can do walks or house checks during the day. Equally I can take my laptop while I am pet-sitting to keep pets company and still get some work done. Although this flexibility is great for short-term sitting, unfortunately I would not be able to commit to walking or sitting everyday for more than a week or so.
As well as having pets in the family (mainly dogs and cats) I have looked after friends dogs many times, I have a lot of experience with high energy dogs as most of the dogs I have walked and kept company have been Collies. I am also happy to practice any training that you are working on and wash/brush pets if you'd like, and if they don't mind it too much.
Laura is one of the best dog walkers I've ever had.
Laura is amazing and I am so glad to have found her. She has been very attentive, punctual and most importantly genuinely caring towards our newly adopted dog Bubbles. She keeps me updated with pictures and videos and lets me know how the walks went and how his temperament is. She also contacts me to express any concerns about his behaviour and health and that conscientiousness is greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to booking many more walks with her in the future and am glad to find someone I can trust.
