About Freya

Hello!

I'm Freya, 27 years old and living in south Manchester. I have always been passionate about caring for animals and would be delilghted to help you with your pet care needs. Simply put, I love animals and I will always care for them as if they were my very own!

You can find out a bit more about my animal experience below:

  • I previously worked two summers at a dog boarding kennels, so I'm comfortable walking dogs of all shapes and sizes.

  • In my early twenties, I gained professional experience working as a Veterinary Care Assistant and Trainee Dog Groomer - hence I'm very comfortable around all animals, understanding their needs, and treating them each with the love and care they need! (And sometimes, getting a bit mucky!)

  • I grew up looking after my own small pets - including hamsters and gerbils. Later on, we got my dog Bella (Labrador) who is now a senior lady (13 years old!) and an absolute sweetheart. She means the world to me!

  • At university, I was a volunteer dog walker/house sitter on a regular basis for two clients alongside my studies.

    • For dog walking and pet sitting services, I am happy to try fit around your schedule (typically I am available evenings and weekends). I have my own dog but please be assured I would always walk your dog 1:1 (i.e. on their own). For doggy day care, I currently work from home (Mon-Fri, 09:00-17:30) so would be happy to look after your pets within my own home during the day (as long as they get on with other dogs as my senior dog Bella lives with me). I live in a ground floor apartment and there is a large, leafy park nearby for dog walks. I'm also happy to come for house sitting / pet visits and can be flexible on this!

    Freya is an excellent sitter. Our cat adored her from the start. We can’t imagine we could find a better sitter as she has a genuine love for animals.
