I have always felt a deep connection to animals. Since I was young, the only job I could see myself doing was caring for animals, I worked on an alpaca farm when I was 15 and I went to an animal care specific college. I've grown up with cats and dogs and I have always made sure they have the best care I knew how to provide. I am a very responsible pet owner and I have previously cared for family members dogs/cats while they've been on holiday for weeks at a time, for instance, my dads friend works abroad a lot and he needed to go out of the country for two weeks, I stayed with his dog Millie who was about 4 months at the time, she was in the middle of being trained and in the time he was away Millie was able to sit, wait, jump, roll over, and had brilliant recall off the lead. I wouldn't say I'm absolutely confident in training dogs but I can definitely re enforce commands. I've also looked after family friends cats, inside and outside.

I am autistic and as a child my most meaningful bonds were with my pets as I didn't feel on edge about what they would think of me. I think this has really shaped me as a person and has helped my passion in animal care bloom. My happiest memories from childhood include animals, taking my dog to the lake district for hours and hours of walks, snitching on my sister for sneaking the dog into her room because I was jealous, having no room in my bed because I insisted on having all of the cats in my bed with me, and the many many cuddles on the sofa before bed with the cats and dogs.  

I have three family cats, Betty, Tinker, and Belle alongside a boarder collie named Dodger. Myself and my partner now also have two kittens of our own, Oswald and Juno, we also are big reptile and insect lovers and we have a bearded dragon, a blue tongue skink, and a rainbow stag beetle, and we've previously had jumping spiders, mantises, tarantulas, and giant african land snails.

I am more than happy to look after any pets around leicestershire, including exotic animals. I'm able to bath and brush dogs and cats. I do dog walking, I don't have any professional past experience in this however I grew up with dogs, walk my friends dogs, and my partner and his family have 7 dogs which I do walk too. I'm comfortable walking dogs on or off lead, I work to adapt to each dog's specific needs. 

My number one priority will always be the animals welfare, that they are happy and all their needs are met. Even if your pets care is complicated, as long as you give me instructions on what they need, you can rest assured that your little friend is content and well cared for.

I offer visits to your house to make sure everything is okay and that your pet has everything they need, my routine for this will obviously depend on your personal instructions and I will be absolutely sure to cover everything from cleaning food and water bowls filling them back up to picking up any mess they may have created. I'm also happy to bring inside any post if needed. 

Despite my lack of specific qualifications, I am more than competent in animal care and I plan to gain relevant qualifications as time goes on.
