Hello there, my name is Lydia. I am 25 years old, a Child Minder (Private Nanny) and have been providing pet care services & dog walking regularly for the past 2 years, although I have been the go-to pet sitter amongst family and friends for most of my life.
(I track every visit/walk and send regular updates and photos.)
I am a Qualified Animal Carer with a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management, Behaviour & Biology from Oakland’s College Farm in Smallford. I am currently studying Level 3 Diploma’s in Animal Psychology & Canine Communication. I am due to start a FdSc degree in Animal Behaviour this September.
I have experience with a varied range of animals & pets from my time working in Wildlife Rescue centers, Vets, Doggy Grooming Salons, Urban Farms - and of course from having many pets of my own over the years! From Emu’s to Guinea Pigs, I’ve been very lucky to work closely with lots of amazing creatures.
I am comfortable with any type, size and needs of your pet. Grumpy or messy, they can do no wrong in my eyes. I enjoy being able to meet people and pets from all over London, each with their own quirks.
Currently at home I have a small menagerie of 2 Cats (Lenard & Lila), 2 Tortoises (Tofu & Tahini) and recently rescued rabbit called Moona.
Unfortunately due to my Cat’s strong dislike for Dogs, I cannot do Day Care or Boarding at my home. I’m not entirely sure as to why they feel this way as they have never met an unfriendly dog - I think perhaps they have heard some horror stories from the neighbourhood cats and that’s put them off.
Lydia was great! She sent messages, pictures, and videos of our cat every visit. We could see they got along very well, and she assured us through an app that she stayed here for the time agreed. Both our cat and flat were just fine when we got home. We'll definitely use her again in the future!
Lydia was excellent at coping with my little monster, I would highly recommend her.
