I have been a pet owner for longer than I care to mention. I LOVE animals and get so much pleasure out of seeing the excitement and enjoyment of the dogs in my care. My husband and I live on a small farm on the edge of Exmoor, there are no roads to worry about. We have dog proof fields, Exmoor right on our doorstep and a lovely indoor sand school where on rainy days the dogs can play without getting wet. We have a cosy woodburner and settees for the dogs to lounge on after a day on the moors. We have two little terriers who love to play with other dogs and would welcome extra company. I'm not particularly houseproud so a bit of dog hair and mud doesn't bother me too much - Nothing that a hoover and mop cannot cope with!
I want to be a pet sitter because I love the company of dogs and my husband has drawn the line at me getting any more for now! I have previous experience of walking other peoples dogs but am now in a position to take care of them for longer periods.
However, I will be quite fussy about what sort of dog I can take. We have young racehorses on the farm and we are surrounded by sheep on the moors so I do not want a dog that might be prone to chasing livestock.
I love all dogs but particularly Jack Russells, Norfolks, Patterdales, Golden retrievers, Labradors or well behaved Collies.

Thank you, Pauline, for taking such good care of Rufus and Migs. We really appreciated the communication throughout the day, showing us how well our two had settled in with your family and how much they enjoyed their walk on the Moors. Our anxious girl, Miggie, was happy and relaxed when we arrived back, and Rufie was following you off lead. They obviously liked and trusted you. We hope we can leave Rufus and Migs with you again when we are on holiday in North Devon.
Highly recommended. 👍🏼👌🏼
