Enrichment. Training. Welfare. These are the tenets that I bring to every session, as our pets are family. I absolutely adore animals and look forward to playing all sorts of enriching games with your pets, cuddling them, giving them a safe space to rest, and any other kinds of care they might need whether medical, emotional, or physical. With my professional experiences with animals in the zoo industry to my personal experiences tending to cats and dogs at my parents' veterinary hospital, I aim to bring safe and fun experiences to your pet while they're in my care.
Since I was 10, I've had a pet sitting business whilst schooling even throughout my masters (nothing is better for writing a dissertation than a fluffy friend on your lap!) I grew up around a lot of animals (9 cats and 3 Irish Wolfhounds) and have also had a number of reptiles over the years.
When I was young, I started taking care of my neighbours' pets and homes when they went away on holiday and eventually, my skills helped me secure a position with the #1 zoo in the US taking care of their aquatic collection.
In the UK, my experiences at Shepreth Wildlife Park taught me the value environmental education whilst managing a the care of a number of different reptiles, mammals, and insects.
In addition to an masters in Education from Cambridge University, I also hold a MSc in Animal Welfare and Conservation, where I gained insights into animal nutrition, behaviour, genetics, management, and more with farm animals on site.
I also hold several years of experience as a First Aider in a lifeguard capacity (5 years) and building manager (3 years) as safety for your family members and home is paramount to me.
Additionally, I've held numerous repeat clients for house and pet sitting for multiple times across the year for the last several years, usually 2-4 weeks at a time.
Finally, I genuinely believe animals have a capacity to heal people's spirits, and I hope in working for you and your animal family, I can help their spirits grow in turn.
