Hi! I’m Kate and I have always had pets in my house until about a year ago when we had to move into a smaller property. I adore looking after animals and making sure that they are happy. Although I haven’t had a pet around the flat recently I have been volunteering at a rescue centre walking the dogs. All the dogs there either are aggressive towards other dogs, are fearful of people or other dogs or they’re fearful of simply walking outside. I am used to being able to control dogs that might be a bit more aggressive and I am able to soothe dogs that might be scared of the dog coming towards them. I enjoy putting in time with the dogs that don’t want to leave their pens, building up their confidence and finding out where they were most comfortable. For example I used to see a little terrier that would plonk herself in a corner as soon as anyone came in, just in case you tried to take her anywhere. After a month of building a bond with here I was able to carry her down the road to the fields where she would happily charge about for an hour and then she would have the confidence to walk back up the road as long as she could see me.
I am able to take your pets out for some exercise and play as well as look after them in your own home. As mentioned before I only have a small flat where we are not allowed animals with fur, so unfortunately I cannot look after than in my own home. I am conscious of what the dogs needs are in terms of exercise and will be with them for as long as they need!
Due to one of my cats and my dog in the past needing medication, either short or long term, I am happy to give even the most disapproving pet the injections or tablets they might need.
The pictures shown are:
My aunts beagle, Lola. Although she insists on eating everything in sight she is an absolute joy.
My boyfriends mums dog, Basil. Basil is a mongrel of a mongrel and has a bit of everything. His favourite thing is playing in the river with his tennis ball. His second favourite thing is playing in the sea with his tennis ball! We love to look after him when she goes on holiday!
This is my old housemates dog Scooter. He has an amazing amount of energy and would stop at nothing to get you to take him out. I looked after him whenever my housemate went away.
One of my friends cats called Bridget. She always had the strangest obsession with sitting on my shoulders with the goal of eventually lying down my arm.
The next two are two of the ten cats that were in my last house, and as you can imagine, that was pretty hectic! They seemed to have found a way between them to make sure they both stayed on my bed all the time. There was no moving them both!
Lastly this is my gorgeous cat Kitty (no, I know). I adopted her, or rather, she adopted me when she was a stray. I was heartbroken when I made the choice to have her live with my mum.
Kate was great, carried out everything I asked and provided plenty of photos to put me at my ease. Will definitely book again!
I don’t have any qualifications with animals but I do have a lifetime of experience with pets. I have experience with dogs that have behaviour problems and animals that need long term medical care.
