Hello, my name is Mandy and I am currently a self-employed dog walker and pet sitter. I have also worked voluntarily in a veterinary practice and at the RSPCA.
Caring for animals and making sure they are safe is something that I’m very passionate about. I have assisted the RSPCA in rescuing a kitten from a large tree and I have reunited many lost dogs with their owners. Working with animals is something I have wanted to do ever since I was little. I have looked after pets my whole life and I currently have three dogs, a labrador cross called Poppy, a staffordshire bull terrier called Bella, a whippet called Bobby, a cat named Martha and three rabbits called Rex, Wilma and Watsit.
When I am looking after your pet in my home you can be assured that your pet will be treated like one of the family. They will be excercised in a spacious garden where they can play and will be taken out for walks. The garden is medium sized with grass and secure high fencing. Walks are 1 hour unless the owner wishes for them to be shorter or longer and they will get this once or twice a day depending on the energy needs of the pet. I will be in for the majority of the day when looking after your pet and if I do need to go out I will switch my pet camera on so I can keep an eye on your pet. They will get lots of cuddles and treats and will sleep in a room with myself. I can accommodate 1 small/medium dog and child friendly dog. I will not be able to accommodate cats, birds, rabbits or ferrets in my home but will be happy to do so at the owners home.
During home visits I will stay for 1 hour, I will feed your pet, let them go to the toilet, play with them, give them lots of cuddles and make sure that they are happy and safe before I leave. I will also make sure the home is locked and secured before leaving.
When looking after a pet in the owners home they will have 24/7 care. I will make sure that I have know where the closest vets is incase of any emergency. They will be exercised, walked twice a day for an hour each time unless owner had specified differently and given lots of cuddles. I am also more than happy to reinforce any training and commands your pet may be learning.
