Hi! I’m Ricco and I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a home with dogs and always had pets around me, so caring for them has been a big part of my life.

I moved from Hong Kong to the UK almost four years ago and have fallen in love with Edinburgh — it’s such a wonderful place to live and share with pets!

Back in Hong Kong, I worked in animal rescue for over 10 years, helping injured and newborn cats and dogs. This experience gave me the skills, patience, and confidence to care for pets of all kinds. I truly enjoy spending time with animals, and I am committed and responsible in everything I do for them.

Since moving to the UK almost four years ago, I have continued my dedication to pets. I brought with me two dogs I rescued from the streets, and caring for them has been a rewarding daily commitment. 

My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from my love for animals and my desire to give them comfort, care, and happiness while their owners are away. I am patient, responsible, and attentive, and I enjoy building trust with both pets and their families. I also offer services such as daily walks, feeding, and playtime, ensuring that pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for during their stay.

I work from home, so I can spend a lot of time with them, provide companionship, and take care of their needs throughout the day. I make sure that the pets are taken at least three times a day, or more if needed.

There is a large lakeside park about a five-minute walk from my home, where I can take them for walks in the morning or in the evening. In addition, there is a fenced park just outside my back door where they can also go for walks and get some exercise

As I have previously worked in a large animal centre, I understand that different pets have different personalities. This allows me to manage and care for more than two pets from different households, helping them get along safely.

My home has three separate rooms, which makes it easy to keep pets apart when needed and gradually introduce them to each other at a comfortable pace. Pets are welcome to jump on the sofa and sleep, and they are also free to move around the house.
