Clara

Hello!  

My name is Clara, I am a 25-year-old French expatriate living in Newbury, Berkshire.  

I have grown up with a black female cat, Mystik, who passed when I was a teenager. Today, whenever I go back to France, I look after my aunt's dog, Pacha, a 40 kg male Pyrenean sheepdog who's the mascot of the family. For me, when it comes to
animals, there is no tedious job, whether it is for the most exciting parts (walking & cuddling) or less exciting ones (picking up poop or removing thistles in Pacha's fur). I love being around pets and looking after them, and I believe this is how I find my inner piece.  

Apart from these experiences, I have volunteered in a dog and cat shelter for a few months during my studies. Giving love and building a trust relationship with a dog that has been put on the side by others is one of the most beautiful and grateful things for me.  

I have always been passionate about foreign languages - especially English - and animals. I work in a district council which gives me the flexibility I need to organise my days and look after people's pets. Not only it fulfils my desire to interact with animals, but it also gives me the opportunity to meet new people and build relationships in my community.
