Since the age of 11 when I got my first dog, Doris the Border Collie, I have been dog obsessed. Since then I have had two more family dogs, Basil and Bella, two crazy Border Collie crosses and now I have two of my very own fur babies Oscar, a Border Collie and Roczen a Working Cocker.
My love and admiration for dogs has completely taken over my life and I truly believe in giving them the best life possible, let’s face it they deserve it.
After choosing to go down the corporate route with my career for the past 10 years working in the fast paced word of Events Management, I have no come to realise that I need to follow my heart and have the career I have always longed for. Everything and anything to do with dogs! My very exciting plan to own my own boarding kennels is underway so watch this space!!
I’m offering a wide range of services however if there is something that I do not offer that you require please just ask. I’m always willing to cater for every fur babies needs.
So what can you and your fur baby expect from a stay with me? They will be staying in a beautiful cottage in a very quiet village with a well maintained secure fenced garden. During their stay they will be loved by all that live at Foxglove Cottage, my partner, our house mate and I all worship dogs and our two gorgeous pooches, Oscar and Roczen love having other pups to play with! Fur babies have free reign in the house unless you specify otherwise, they may sleep in the kitchen, lounge or they can cosy up in our bedroom. I always try and spend as much time as possible with any dog residing at my house, the mornings consist of a 30/45 minute walk and a yummy breakfast.
Whilst I’m still juggling work and dog boarding until the balance tips in favour of dogs 24/7 an amazing local dog walker that I have collaborated with (inclusive in the price) takes the pooches out on a lunchtime stroll for 30mins/ 1 Hour. The evenings always begin with huge cuddles and a catch up of our day. Then it’s time for another walk!
As we have a family farm, walks are always in huge open fields with lush long grass which is super fun to bound through and for pooches with tiny legs freshly cut fields are always available! Chasing sticks, balls, birds and rabbits and are always fun games to play whilst on out walkies. Having a private river to swim or paddle in means that pooches can cool down on really hot days I even get in with them for a paddle! For those pooches that are stick crazy or not too keen on water woodland walks are great fun. Then it’s back home wash, towel down and dinner. Once dinner has gone down it’s playtime before it’s time to wind down before bed. Snuggles on the sofa or in front of the fire are always on offer! For those pooches that prefer a quiet life or just want to cuddled these requirements can always be catered for.
Louise did a great job of looking after Leo. She treated him like her own and sent regular pictures, he looked really happy throughout. Was also really flexible and happy to look after him for an extra day.
We were a bit apprehensive with leaving our 7 month old Lhasa Apso with someone who already had 3 dogs but we need not have worried. Louise is brilliant with dogs and it appears from the videos she sent us every day that Tilly had the time of her life. Louise also sent us pictures of Tilly on her settee having cuddle time (home from home). She looked after Tilly as if she were her own dog and took care of her every need. It was great to see Tilly playing with one of her dogs in her back garden and having a fun time. We would not hesitate to recommend Louise to anyone and would not hesitate to using her again. We now know that we can confidently leave Tilly with someone who cares deeply about dogs and it is one less thing to worry about when we go away.
