Hello! My name is Ellie, and I am a professional dog walker and pet care provider for Hucknall, Papplewick, Linby and the surrounding areas. I set up Purrfect Paws Pet Care with the vision of providing tailored care for other’s pets when they cannot be there, and ensure that pet owners are left with peace of mind when they are at work, go away, or need to take a day trip.
From day one, I have been an animal lover- and quickly became best friends with our families beautiful Staffordshire Bull Terrier- Jackson. He sadly passed away when I was quite young, however was a massive character in my life who I still have very fond memories of (including building my first snowman with his ‘help’!).
After I got a bit older, I often adopted various animals who were injured; including a stray cat who had kittens behind my house, and bugged my parents for another dog.
Finally, they gave in- and for one of my birthdays as a teenager- I ended up with my beautiful poodle, Charlie! He has been my best friend since the day he came home, and even in his old age, still is ready for an adventure with me. Charlie is the special dog who made me realise that my dream was to go above and beyond to care for animals, and helped me discover just how amazing dogs are.
All my life, I have been passionate about the welfare of animals, and I have spent a lot of time studying various aspects of their care, behaviours, the science behind their make-up, etc.
This has lead me into gaining the following qualifications:
> Advanced Pet First Aid
> Canine First Aid and CPR
> Feline First Aid and CPR
> Small Animal CPR
> Exotic Animal Care

> Dog Socialisation and Obedience
> Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Diploma
