About Charlotte
I love caring for and making connections with animals. I provide care for your pets as if they were my own, and ensure that they receive the highest quality care while you're at work or away. They will be my priority.
I had a dog called Molly for 15 years, and she unfortunately crossed the rainbow bridge at Christmas. I have had a cockatiel for the last 20 years too, but he's loving life living with my mum at the moment as he loves chatting away to her customers and I didn't want to change his environment if I didn't have to.
I have compassionately cared, loved and spoiled my pets for their whole life. Molly and I loved going for a run on the beach, for brunch then to a pet shop to pick out a new toy. I worked hard to care for her with her multiple illnesses in her final years.
I miss having a four legged friend around, so I have been taking care of numerous pets for friends and family recently. I've loved having them here and this is why I decided to sign up for Pawshake.
I currently live in a 3 bedroom house with a male friend (who also loves pets and is experienced) and we both work from home full time. This means there will be someone home pretty much 24/7 and your pet won't be left alone. Potty breaks will be as often as required. On the rare occasion we are both out, your pet won't be left for more than 3 hours - and if we can take them with us we will!
The back garden is a good size and fully fenced. There'll be lots of running around out there and playing too.
As there are no other pets or children around, your pet will fit seamlessly into my life and routine. I am pretty relaxed so they can eat, sleep and walk whenever they want. A perfect day would be cuddles, breakfast, work, lunch, walk, work, dinner, walk then more cuddles before bed. Lots of play time thrown in there too!
Pets are allowed on the sofa, but unfortunately not allowed to sleep on the beds. They are, however, welcome in the bedrooms and they can definitely sleep in there. No rooms are off limits.
Services
Overnight stays:
A minimum of one 30 minute walk per day but I aim for more/longer (weather permitting)
Walk can be the usual time you take your pet out so I don't change their routine
Lots of play time and attention
Daycare:
A minimum of one 30 minute walk either at lunch or after dinner
Lots of play time and attention
Walks can be long lead, short lead, off lead - whatever you or they prefer.
I will only take pets from one household at a time, so there are no concerns about whether your pet will get along with others.
I will only take two dogs/pets at a time so your pets can have my full attention.
If I had your permission, we would go on lots of little adventures - including for a bite to eat at the pub (no human food for pets!), walk around the garden centre or other pet friendly shops, to the beach... the list is endless. I'd take them on all the little adventures Molly loved going on.
What do I need from you?
An initial meet and great to make sure you're happy.
How often you want pictures and updates? How little or often you want is fine with me, I love taking pet snaps.
What does your pet love? Hate? Find comforting? Habits? Quirks? I want to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
I will never cancel on you last minute, and all pets are welcome.
