About Kerri
Hi, I’m Kerri !
I’m a responsible, caring, kind, and patient animal lover with lifelong experience growing up with dogs of all sizes, as well as cats and small animals. I have hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages—from energetic puppies to gentle senior dogs—and I understand how to meet their unique needs, whether that’s exercise, training, comfort, or companionship.
I also have experience caring for a mini male Dachshund rescue, which has helped me understand the personalities and needs of smaller breeds, as well as the patience and reassurance some rescue dogs may require.
I genuinely love walking dogs and playing with them, helping keep them active, happy, and mentally stimulated. Every animal has its own personality, so I always tailor my care to suit each pet, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
To support my practical experience, I’ve completed online diplomas in Canine First Aid and Veterinary Assistance with the Centre of Excellence, giving me the knowledge and skills to help keep pets healthy, happy, and safe. I take pride in providing reliable, attentive, and loving care, and I enjoy building trusting relationships with both pets and their owners.
What Owners Can Expect From Me
When caring for your pet, my goal is to keep your pet’s routine as normal and comfortable as possible so they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. During sleepovers in your home, I will follow your pet’s usual schedule, including feeding, toilet breaks, playtime, and walks. I offer safe and enjoyable walks that typically last 30–60 minutes, depending on your dog’s needs, energy level, and your preference.
I make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, companionship, and play to keep them happy and mentally stimulated. I understand how important it is for owners to stay connected with their pets while they’re away, so I send at least 1–2 updates each day, including photos and messages so you can see how your pet is doing. I aim to be reliable and communicative about my availability and always discuss arrangements clearly with owners in advance. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my top priority, and thanks to my Canine First Aid training, I can recognise signs of distress and provide basic care if needed.
In the unlikely event of an emergency, I would contact you immediately and, if necessary, take your pet to your preferred veterinarian or the nearest emergency veterinary clinic while keeping you fully updated.
