I thought I’d start by sharing a little about me and my experience of animal care.

Having grown up on a farm, I have over 50 years of experience with animals. From cows, horses and chickens to pets such as cats, dogs, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, tortoises, rats, hedgehogs, lizards and even a ferret! Farm life meant animal care always came first, be it feeding, mucking out their pens or attending to their well-being and nursing any sick.

Having lots of space on the farm, I also always ended up having a lot of people’s pets while they were on holiday, including the school tortoise - Philip. During winter we would keep a lot of tortoises for people in the cellar for them to hibernate during the winter months! I have ridden horses since the age of 4, owning several myself, and provided sanctuary for donkeys over the winter months.

These days, due to less space, I have one cat (Lottie) that I adopted recently, my eldest daughter has 2 cats and a dog and my youngest has a 3-legged cat she adopted from Thailand! I am currently doing some animal-care courses so I can gain a greater understanding of animals and their needs. One of my courses even includes Reiki healing for animals.

I am a self-employed massage therapist meaning it’s second nature for me to be reliable, compassionate, caring, safety conscious and hard-working—so rest assured your pets will be in safe hands.
 

WHAT I OFFER

 ~ A free meet and greet visit for you and your pets.

~ To provide your pets with everything they need, from feeding and playtime to walks and lots of attention and cuddle sessions.

~ Cleaning of any bowls, pet hutches/pens, litter trays etc. Administration of medication (orally only) if needed.

~ During home visits I would keep an eye on your house, put out bins, water plants, pick up your post etc.

~ I am friendly, reliable and will follow any instructions, routines and completely tailor my services to meet the individual needs of your pets.

~ Photo and text updates on visits.

Prices

~ Home visits - up to 30 mins depending on number of pets and what is needed and their routine. Longer visits if there are many pets to take care of and can be discussed at the meet and greet.

From £12 per visit. No extra charge for more than 1 pet, ie 2 cats.

~ Dog walking service - I will only have your dog/s on a walk at any one time and they will be walked from
your house. This will include settling down, wiping of muddy paws and rubbing down if they are wet.

£12 for 30 minutes, £18 for 45 mins, £23 for an hour. £5 more for 2 dogs.
