Hello, my name is Robyn and I live in Braintree, Essex. I have always been an animal lover and have always had pets of my own. I am currently a stay-at-home mum and really need to contribute to our household income. I always offered pet sitting services in South Africa to family and friends during my younger years and I have decided to resume pet sitting services to help with our expenses. This is a win-win for me, as I get to spend most of my time with animals.

My days are very flexible as I am home most of the day and I have transport of my own which will enable me to be available for most of the day for your pet's needs.

About me:

I absolutely love working with animals. When I was a child, I was fortunate enough to have many different types of pets throughout my childhood. We had many dogs (from Yorkshire terriers to Great Danes) cats, fish, ducks, hamsters and 2 parrots. It was always my responsibility to feed these pets, clean them, clean their cages, pens and kennels. My love for animal care comes from a young age.

I also had the privilege of running my father's farm for 2 years whilst I still resided in South Africa. I oversaw the care of all the animals on this farm. I looked after 5 dogs, cattle, goats, chickens and over 300 pairs of African Grey parrots. I made sure that all living areas were properly cleaned. All animals were properly fed as well as sourcing all of the best feed to each animal type. I even hand reared baby parrots and had the privilege to incubate eggs. It was truly a wonderful experience.

I always looked after all my friend and family's animals when they went on holidays.

I am trustworthy and reliable. I am also punctual, organised and possess great communication skills. I will regularly update you on your pet's well being by sending as many photos and updates that you will need to give you that ultimate peace of mind.

Household environment (boarding):

I live in a 3 bedroom semi detached home in a lovely part of Braintree with my husband and 2 children. My children are animal lovers and are super gentle and loving towards our two small doggies. My dogs sleep on the couch, bed, dog bed or wherever they feel like it actually. The same would be allowed for your fur baby. I do have baby gates in place just to keep them downstairs to avoid any accidents down the steps. I have a lovely back garden with a large patch of well kept grass and a gazebo up over the paving for shade on a warm day. Access is always allowed to the house and garden as my back door is always open. I also have dog steps for any doggies that struggle to get on and off the couch.

We have a lovely footpath along the river that is only 50 meters from my home, which is perfect for a walk if your fur baby requires them. There are also large grass fields for a dog to run around in and catch a ball or two.

My services:

Length and frequencies of home visits can be discussed if you have very specific needs.

For boarding in my home, I require that your pet be toilet trained. Size is not a problem. I also require that your pet is able to be left alone for a couple of hours as I do have occasional errands to run.

My grooming services include a simple bath and a blow dry, cutting nails and hair shaving/trimming. I have my own equipment and will just require warm water, a towel and an electrical point. I regularly groom my own dogs and would love to expand my experience. I have photos in my profile.

I understand that caring for someone's pet is an important task and I will treat your pet as if they were my own, with respect and a whole lot of love. I will ensure that they are safe and happy.
