About me:
27 years old, Female, Full-time Designer.
I would love to do more pet sitting, as I work from home full-time and love the company of a furry friend.
Experience:
- I have been a sitter on Pawshake for 1 year, and cared for many different dogs with different needs. Check out some of the reviews!
- I have regularly dog-sat two family dogs over the past 4 years, both for short and longer durations here at my home and at their home.
- I have been a lover of animals all my life, and have experience with small animals throughout my childhood (rabbits and hamsters).
- I am not phased by bigger animals, I am used to handling big animals (20 years of experience with horses). But nothing too boisterous as I am only small myself.
- I have previously volunteered at the rescue centre FOAL farm with puppies, cats, kittens, and small animals.
- I have also done a lot of work with rescue ponies at the local riding school Chelsfield Equestrian Centre.
What I can offer:
Animals I would love to care for include dogs and small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters).
- Daycare for any animal (includes 1-hour lunchtime walk for dogs)
- Overnight boarding for any animals (up to medium-sized, calm dogs). Morning and evening walks can be included in this depending on the dogs' needs. Discount applied (£15) if only required to look after dog 5.00pm-10am overnight.
My Pawfect space:
- Spacious living area for free-range animals to wander and relax. I will be working in this living space so they have constant supervision.
- They also have the opportunity to snuggle up in my cosy study space too if they are smaller.
- A cosy bedtime space under the stairs for small/medium animals to set up camp.
- A small garden to relieve themselves at regular intervals during their stay.
- The garden is completely fenced up and the previous owners of our house had a spritely rescue dog.
However, animals will never be left outside without supervision. - A spacious local park 2 mins away for dogs to have a run around.
- High Elms Country Park is a 5/10 minute walk away for longer walks.
- A quiet and peaceful area (with the occasional dog bark) surrounding my home.
I live with my long-term partner (also animal mad) who is a teacher, so is out of the house all day 5 days a week.
Any pet that I care for is treated with respect and as if it were my own.
They can expect playtime, cuddles, or a nice quiet space for a nap, whatever they need.
I will provide regular updates and pictures to the owner. I know it can be tough leaving your fur babies.
Vaccinated and neutered only please. Any quirks, let me know in advance so I can ensure your pet is safe and happy at all times.
For dogs, a meet and greet morning/afternoon (including a walk) is required at my home before booking daycare and overnight stays. This is to make sure the dog is comfortable in the space with me and I can see any quirks/ demonstrations on any training you would like me to carry on with.
I dog-sit a friendly male Cockapoo every Thursday during school term time. Dogs MUST be friendly with others if booking includes this day.
Disclaimer: I am not a dog behaviourist, or trainer. I have a full time job and must be able to work with you pet without having to worry (occasional disturbances for playtime and cuddles are fine).
