Although I'm not a pet owner myself (I live in rented accommodation which is a strictly pet-free zone) I always jump at the chance to meet other people's pets, whatever size or shape they may be! I completed the 2018 London marathon and I know from experience that having a dog to run with is excellent motivation, but I'm also happy walking.
I'd be happy to look after smaller (or larger!) pets in the home as well, whether it's just popping in to feed them and empty a litter tray, or staying to give them a bit of company - I love to spend time with my brother-in-law's guinea pigs Dora and Gizmo, and having had a family cat and a goldfish growing up I'm used to them as well. I wouldn't label myself as either a cat person or a dog person - I love them both!
I don't own a car but I can cycle or get the bus to locations around Kidlington and central Oxford, or hire a car for overnight stays further away. My husband is also a pet lover so he sometimes helps me out, especially with overnight stays.
Because I'm not around animals all the time I've got lots of enthusiasm and love to share when I do get to spend time with them! Your pets won't lack attention when I'm there :)
Our cat is very shy, but did at least come out to see Katherine on occasion, which was good to see in the photos. We were happy to hear she was eating pretty normally while we were gone, as well. Getting messages from Katherine was reassuring to us to hear how our cat was coping. Thank you so very much, Katherine!
Thank you for taking such good care of Izzy. She definitely misses you!
