I'm a 30-year-old DPhil student at Oxford Uni who has been living in Oxford for the past 4 years. I am originally from Canada, where I grew up with family cats and dogs. I got 'my own' dog, Summer, when I was just 15, assuring my parents I was ready for the responsibility of owning a dog. I brought Summer along with me across the province to complete my undergraduate and master's degree, and then moved to the UK with her for my DPhil. Unfortunately, just after submitting my thesis, she passed away due to old age complications. However, throughout her life I always strived to take the best care of her, bringing her to the vet at the first sign of anything abnormal, feeding her the best quality food and exercising her every day - which I believe contributed to her long life of 15 years! However, I miss her terribly and would love to have some quality time with another dog! I am putting careful consideration into owning another dog and so am hoping to walk/sit dogs to curb my canine ache in the meantime!

I would love to care for your dog, young or old and have administered medications before. We can go for a brisk walk, play fetch or have a slow sniffing mender around the park. I believe my skills as a scientist and my life-long traits of being a dog owner have equipped me to be diligent with instruction and recognize the signs to look out for in ensuring pets are healthy and happy. Whatever your instruction for feeding, walks, training, etc. I will adhere to, ensuring you feel confident in your pet's safety and well-being.

I am open to house sitting so your dog/cat can feel their most comfortable while you are away! I have a bike and a car, allowing me to travel around Oxford and surrounding areas to walk/sit with your pet. I am available during evenings and weekends for dog walking.

I love animals of all varieties and have extensive experience with domestic animals. Growing up, I have owned guinea pigs, hedgehogs, hamsters, geckos, fish, cats and dogs. I lived on an alpaca farm for 2 years and helped with their feeding. I also volunteered for +5 years caring for research harp seals.
