I have been taking care of animals professionally for ten years.

I have recently moved to Oxford to pursue a part-time MSc degree. I am a 36-year old woman. I live a fairly quiet life (no partying or drinking), enjoying long walks, occational runs, and reading. I am a vegetarian, but am happy to cook and give meet to the animals.

I used to run a doggie day care when lived in London, and when I lived in Helsinki. I have recently moved this Pawshake account from Helsinki to Oxford, so some of the reviews will be in Finnish. I have taken care of dogs, cats, rodents, birds, fish, and reptiles. I am keen to learn about farm animals.

I am used to working with rescue animals, as well as shy and aggressive ones. I read the animal and adapt to their need, understanding that all animals are different. I am experienced in giving medication, including injections. My calm nature keeps a pleasant atmosphere in my home and helps the pets stay relaxed. I enjoy cuddling animals, and they are welcome to sleep on my bed if they want to. In my home, pets are treated like family members.

I take the dogs out several times a day (depending on the dog’s needs), and have a garden. I play with them and give them affection. Meals and medication are given according to the dog’s usual routine. I am a cuddler, so cuddles are available for the dog if they want.

I study from home with some seminars in school, so I am at home with the pet for at least half of the day. I don't tend to go out for longer than six hours.

I have also taken care of puppies, which includes training. Please enquire if required.

I live in a top floor flat, so unfortunately, I cannot take dogs that bark excessively, for example when excited. I have had a few dogs that woke up the entire building in the middle of the night with barking, and because of my neighbors, I unfortunately cannot take in such dogs.

One day, I would like to have my own rescue center for animals.
