Aside from owning dogs, cats and small animals most of my life, I have past experience volunteering at a local animal shelter which catered to the needs of a variation of animals - including Goats, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and the resident Cats and Dogs! I on occasion currently dog/house sit for two different friends’ furbabies - usually during holiday periods for 1-2 weeks. I am confident and well versed in catering to larger or more energetic breeds, those with complex, behavioural needs (such as separation anxiety, nervousness and signs of aggression) and those that have medical requirements (such as food/environmental allergies or age related degenerative diseases) I am totally sympathetic to those that worry about leaving their babies in kennels, I too share this concern and appreciate the anxiety that comes with removing your pet from the comfort of their own home - whilst kennels do tend to be cheaper, can you really guarantee your baby is getting the undivided love and attention that they deserve in their own, familiar environment? Why not allow me to care for them in their own home, where my attention can solely be focused on them.

Rest assured, I will give you regular pupdates and pictures whilst your furbaby is in my care!

I share my days with two sweet, well-behaved pups: a 13 year old, neutered male Border Terrier and a 6 year old, female, spayed Jackapoo. The former, Benny, suffers with skin allergies in the summer and Rosie (the Jackapoo) takes medication for allergies year round (lucky us!) so I'm truly well informed in caring for dogs that suffer in these areas! Benny has recently recovered from a Cruciate Ligament operation - this has afforded me the understanding to the needs of our senior fur babies that need to take things a bit slower in their golden years!

*Please note! I am currently unable to offer boarding/doggy day care in my own premises until my home check with the council commences and receives formal approval - I've been informed that this process can take up to 11 weeks - I am still available to housesit in owners and their furbabies' homes in the meantime, however*

I work full-time, Monday - Friday (unless I have scheduled annual leave, which I will update on my profile accordingly - I have one Friday/Monday a month off in lieu of working one Saturday/Sunday and will be sure to update my calendar with these) During the day, my two furbabies are at home, with the Google Nest on (they're particularly fond of Classic FM) - I am able to pop home on my lunch break to let them out into the garden should I need to, as my workplace is only 5 minutes up the road. I am available for walking from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the summer months, during the week. My 'drop in' visit availability can be 3 visits a day, Friday - Sunday, with one in the morning (if required) before I start work at 9:00 am on the Friday or if I am working either the Saturday or Sunday, one in the afternoon, on my lunch break (anywhere from 12:00 - 1pm) and then one evening visit, after I finish at 5:30 pm - with this in mind, I can only offer day-visits within a 5 mile radius! Please let me know if you would like me to feed your babies during these visits, obviously toilet breaks are a given! On weekends and annual leave periods, unless stated otherwise or if I have prearranged plans or I am working, I am free all day/evening for walks, overnight sitting, drop-ins, etc!
Of course, if you're looking for sitting in the local area with overnight stays and your furbaby is permitted to be left alone whilst I work in the week (I can drop in on my lunch break - meaning they will be alone from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm and 1:00 pm - 5:10 pm, when I will get home after work!) then please get in touch! Obviously weekends, unless I am working, I will be with them 24/7.

Our routine can be tailored around your dog - e.g. a requirement for being on lead at all times/no car rides or quieter walks with minimal traffic! Walks can be adapted to fit the exercise limits of your baby - anything from a good ball throwing session to just a slow meandering waddle with lots of sniffing, is OK with me! 😊

In our local area we have a couple of isolated dog walking paddocks purpose built for our reactive/nervous friends. Please let me know ahead of time if you would like me to take your babies to one of these.

It would be good to be briefed on any allergies, anxieties, triggers or little quirks your pet has prior to meeting, too! I will only accepted pets up to date on their current vaccinations, please.

At the end of May, I am scheduled to complete my canine first aid training course, for extra peace of mind whilst your dog is in my care!
