My name is Laura and I'm 35 years old.
I've always been called Laura Doolittle since childhood because for my total love of pets, nature, wild animals and the natural world in general.
I studied Animal Management Level 3 from 2004-2006 and then studied a Bachelors Degree in Zoology from 20p6-2009. On completing my degree I began working as a technical instructor teaching students from the ages of 15 to adult students. The lessons were practical based (correct handling procedures, cleaning, health checking, feeding and general care) and included a huge variety of animals from dogs and cats, fish, lizards, snakes and frogs to small mammals, chickens, goats and pigs.
From 2011 to 2016 I worked as a lecturer of animal studies and taught the theory side of everything animal from behaviour to biology and welfare. In this time I gained a teaching qualification.
I became a huge fan of brachycephalic dog breeds during my teaching years and gained 3 rescue pugs. Because I didn't want to be apart from them, I decided to start walking, sitting and caring for other people's animals so that my it's could have me around more. Things worked out so well as pugs are very friendly, gregarious dogs. I also now have Boston terrier as well as three rescue hens.
My walking services are restricted to small and medium dogs only. I am happy to check in on larger dogs in their own home and allow them access to a garden. I also have experience with most other animals and I have no fear or phobias regarding any species of animal. I'm happy to feed the snake, empty the cat litter, clean out the bunnies and most routine animal, care suites whilst you are away on your travels or busy at work.
I have a large car equipped to carry approximately 5 small to medium dogs with crates, seat belt attachments, sun visors, water, bowls and treats. I can pick up and drop off approx 10 miles radius of the PO6 Portsmouth area.
Send me a message for queries- no job too small.
Please note only walking and home visit services offerred. No boarding or daycare.
