Hello!
I have always been cat mad and always treat animals with the highest respect. I really just enjoy caring for animals and would like this opportunity to be a hobby so I can continue to care for animals while working in adult social care. I own 3 cats in my home in Ireland including a kitten called Loki and I rescued my elderly lady cat called Nigella from the streets while at university in Essex.
I can offer cat and dog sitting as well as dog walking, as long as I can access your home as I rely on public transport or cycling.
I also will not be able to take on very large or untrained dogs as I have never owned a dog and I am quite small myself. Although I have volunteered dog walking in a rescue center in Ireland so I feel comfortable walking smaller and trained dogs.
I am very comfortable with difficult or nervous cats as I have rescued many cats and also have experience working with complex and challenging behaviour in humans. I am also comfortable cleaning up any messes such as vomitting or cleaning litter trays or puppy pads. My rescue cat is particularly prone to vomitting so I am very comfortable cleaning cat related mess.
I can provide 1 hour of physical activity for dog walking ensuring they have emptied their bowel or bladder and any clean up necessary. I will be able to provide photos of your pets when visiting and fresh food and water, I can also water houseplants if needed.
Visits can be 30mins or longer if needed providing basic medication and hygiene standards as well as reporting any behavioural issues or concerns to the owner.
I've recently had to up my prices due to the costs of public transport, meaning I'm making very little to no profit. Sorry for any disappointment.
Overnight stays can be up to 24 hours (for example 2pm Thursday to 2pm Friday) where possible. I can sit up to 3 dogs can provide two walking or playing lessions of at least 1 hour each day per pet so your pet has sufficient exercise and engagement. For overnight stays I ask of the owner to provide clean bedding and knowledge of access points and security cameras before visiting. If animals are crate trained I expect clean bedding, crates and litter trays and I will clean them out daily or as required by the owner. While staying in your home I will ensure the dishes and all surfaces are properly cleaned so that you will have a clean home to return to. As well as maintenance for your animals I can care for your houseplants if told their requirements and locations.
If provided with a routine I will keep to the routine as much as possible to lessen the stress on the animal. The owner should provide me with as much detail possible for the animals needs and requirements as well as how best to enter the home i.e. locations of keys and entrances. If any dogs or cats are particularly nervous I would like to know in advance so I can respond accordingly to lessen the stress on the animal. I prefer mid afternoon visits but this is negotiable dependent on your pets needs. If you feel your animal has a specific requirement please do let me know and I will see what I can do. However I can only provide basic medication needs and not any injections or complex medical needs.
Before placing a booking I will need a meet up and a walk through of the house so I can provide the best care possible. Thank you!
